Application of the R Programming Language in Computer Analysis of Social Networks: The 2016 Serbian Elections
Abstract
This thesis applies social network analysis in R to interactions among political actors on Twitter during Serbia’s 2016 parliamentary election campaign. It demonstrates a reproducible workflow for acquiring, analyzing, and visualizing network data while examining centrality, homophily, clustering, and communication patterns among the actors.
